Coupe/Sedan lights are not interchangeable. Sedans are interchangeable 03-04, also 05-06. Coupe can switch between 03-07 for headlights and tail lights. 03-06 Sedans can swap tail lights.Engine parts are pretty much interchangeable across the 350Z, COUPE and SEDAN. Suspension as well, with the exception of the X. I would recommend upgrading the plenum with a SPACER. Most have the 5/16", I have the 1/2". To stiffen the suspension most people lower it and throw on some aftermarket sway bars (stabilizer bars). There are stiffer shocks, springs, and coilovers available for the suspension. Depends on what you want for what you should get/spend.

Cool. What is the X? Also what is the function of the plenum spacer? With this, there is no need for a whole new plenum? Also, is this spacer effective without tuning? Not looking to lower the car. I like the smoothness of the suspension as it is. But I want more responsiveness and input during aggressive cornering. Not auto-x type cornering. More like freeway on ramp type cornering.

X = all wheel drive (aka: G35X)Plenum spacer is effective for everything you'll need. Lowering the car doesn't have to change the smoothness of the suspension. It will improve cornering and body roll with a lower center of gravity. Sway bars will help. Front strut tower bar will help. Lower Tie Bracing will help. Cornering is cornering. If it helps it helps. What are you willing to spend to improve your suspension?

Rookie move on my part. Lol! Forgot about the AWD version. Well, I've lowered 3 different cars of 3 different manufacture and found the suspension became quite aggressive by lowering it. I also bought this with the intent to improve my entry and exit of my vehicle due to my lower back. So lowering might now be an option right now. Will the tower brace fit properly with a 5/16" or 1/2" spacer installed? Never heard of the lower tie braces. Gonna have to search that one out. Thanks for patronizing my questions here.

5/16th spacer works without a tune... you will gain power in the mid range... and your engine sound will change after about 4500rpm... if i could do it all over a spacer would of been my first power mod.but a tune makes everything better... i would wait until you have all your mods installed before you tune...

Before you invest in a spacer you should get a z tube and pop charger. You should also find a coupe mid pipe and lose about 50lbs of body fat and get a few hp out of the deal. You have the 06 like me and don't need to really change much as far as looks go. If you want to be doing cornering you need to invest in rims and tires! (that is if you don't want to lower the car) Get a set of Coupe 19's and put a tire with a small and hard sidewall. I have mine on 06 350z suspension and it still rides good and it handles better and is only about 1" lower than stock... Post some pics so that we can see what you are working with as far as rims tires and suspension. Does your sedan already have the sport suspension? DJ

I figured it would rob power instead of help.

I don't think everybody has your best interest at heart. The plenum spacer alone should yield useable power and keep noise low. Pop-charger, z-tube, and just about any other "intake" mod will increase the engine noise volume. Same goes for the coupe mid-pipe. The sedan mid-pipe is huge to keep the car quiet. Go listen to a coupe in a parking garage or in a tunnel and you'll see how much quieter your car is. 05 or newer 350Z springs or possibly even the sports tuned suspension off of a coupe would be mild suspension upgrade with improved cornering. Going with just about anything aftermarket WILL make the ride harsher and harder to enter/exit your car. Don't get me wrong. I love stiff suspension, but after living with it for 3 years with my I30 and now having a child. I wouldn't dare do that again for my primary vehicle (my balls still ache at the thought of that ride).

Now that is what I'm talking about. I appreciate the objective view presented. I really don't want this to become too noisy. I'm not too worried about the weight since this really isn't considered a "heavy" car. For racing? Yes. For street use? Not at all since many luxo models out there are pressing past 4000 pounds. My Redline was just shy of 3000 pounds. I can live with a bit more noise from the hood area if the plenum spacer will have better benefits to power, economy or whatever else. But the mid pipe might be out of the question if it's gonna sound real aggressive by simply changing that out.

The plenum spacer will add some intake growl. 5/16" is the most common. I wouldn't go with anybody but Motordyne for the plenum spacer.Intake is touchy, our cars are very susceptible to heat soak. I have the Stillen airbox with the JWT intake filter and venturi ring with a Z tube. Much louder than stock though. Mine is wrapped with heat tape. I notice only 10-15* above ambient temps with my intake and much better throttle response and volume. Many people lose power with intake due to hot air being sucked in. My friend is going to test his G this week for intake temps and coolant temps. My guess is my intake temps are lower than stock. The coupe MP will add a nice little growl, its not that loud, BUT you will get drone around 1500-1800 rpms. It will shed a good 30-40 pounds though and has a much mre free flowing resonator. I noticed a lot of chassis stiffening from the lower tie braces. As much from the front strut tower brace. Sway bars do a lot for handling as well. All together the handling is MUCH improved over stock. You can put a 350Z (revised) suspension on your car and lower it 1" with very similar to stock feel. You can find a setup for around $200 SHIPPED used as well.
